‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Screening

In tribute to the recent passing of ’90s heartthrob Luke Perry, film organizations Beyond Fest, Cinematic Void and Etheria join forces in co-presenting a screening of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” a true gem encompassing every campy stereotype of the era.

Perry proudly donned a soul patch and his signature sexy/brooding James Deanesque charm pierced through the big screen and made him a teen idol. Kristen Swanson is perfectly over-the-top as the spoiled brat turned vampire hunter. Five years later, Joss Whedon’s television adaptation truly ignited youth culture’s continued obsession with vampires, but the original film paved the way.
